The Osteria Porta Palio is located only a few steps away from the Castelvecchio Castle inside the deconsecrated church of Santa Caterina. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly despite the momentous vaults and the large stained glass windows. The nave is the main dining room with wooden tables and red and white checkered tablecloths, as in the best of the osteria tradition! The upper dining room is located in the choir, and from here one can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the place.
Despite the solemnity of the place the atmosphere is pleasantly informal, especially thanks to the winning ways of the young managers, which give extra value to the restaurant; indeed, it is not uncommon for simple gatherings of friends to turn into improvised parties.
